She is not just a host, she is also an actress, writer, voice actor, producer, and a well-known philanthropist. She doesn’t just give out money and goodies on her show, but she’s also sharing and changing people’s lives out of the lime light.

She once managed to raise more than $12 million to help people who have breast cancer. She also managed to raise about $10 million for those who were affected by hurricane Katrina. However, one of the most recent and most popular thing she did for charity, is to raise $3 million for her Oscar selfie, which is considered to be the most star-studded selfie in the world. It happened when DeGeneres hosted the Oscars, and took a selfie with the biggest stars in Hollywood, such as Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie. Ellen chose two charities who would benefit the $3 million, St. Jude Hospital and The Humane Society.

The Queen of Pop is known for many things. She sold over 300 million records, she is even recognized by Guinness World Records as the best-selling female recording artist of all time. She is also the world’s highest-grossing solo tourist artist of all time, with over $1.3 Billion from her concerts ever since she started touring in the 1990s. However, she is also known for founding a non-profit organization in 2006 called Raising Malawi, it centers on helping the people of Malawi from famine and poverty. Recently, she was given permission to adopt twin girls who lost their mother.

Angelina Jolie may be known for doing quite a few films, but she is actually more well-known for being a philanthropist. She became the ambassador of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees or the UNHCR in 2001, after donating $1 million. She has travelled from places to place meeting with refugees and helping them in private. She even took flying lesson so she could fly to places where she could give food supplies and ferrying aid workers.
