Kid Rock: Undisclosed Value, Rural Alabama

Kid Rock, who gave us hits such as Cowboy and Bawitdaba, is no doubt a multi-millionaire entertainer, but his choice of digs has us perplexed! Sure he used to live in luxurious mansions earlier, but his double-wide “hunting lodge” trailer is now home, as he says it would be easier to replace in a disaster.

It may look humble from the outside, but it does come with a place to park his private jet! Rock says that downsizing has helped him lead a simpler, more grounded Southern life. The lake-facing, camo print double wide was even featured in his ‘Po-Dunk’ music video.

David Muir, the anchor of ABC’s 20/20 and ABC World News Tonight, has spent a small fortune of $7 million to acquire this 1890-built mansion in New York State’s Skaneateles Lake region. This is his second home, and since he grew up in Central New York, he loves the area here.

The 4,300-square foot home has 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a fireplace and is said to be perfect as a one-family retreat. The property is spread across 6 acres of lush and wooded land on Skaneateles Lake and the home is so well hidden from prying eyes that you can’t even see it behind all the foliage from the main entrance!

Kristy McNichol: ~ $975K, Los Angeles

Retired actress Kristy McNichol, known for her roles in Little Darlings, Only When I Laugh, and in the sitcom Empty Nest. Speaking of an empty nest, McNichol has put up her ranch-style, Los Angeles home for sale for under a million, a couple of years ago. The 1950s built home offers 3,000-square-feet of living area, 4 bedrooms, tennis court, spa, sauna and comes with a guest house. It’s a rather large house for a single person, and hence, Kristy sold it off and moved back into her former residence where she has lived for 9 years.

Joy Behar: ~ $2.4 Million, New York City

The outspoken co-host of The View, Joy Behar, has dropped $2.4 million to scoop up this gorgeous 2-bed, 3-bath condo on the Upper West Side. It’s just 4 blocks away from where she shoots The View, so the buy makes absolute sense.

The newly bought apartment offers around 1,314-square-feet of space, and even has a lovely private balcony with enticing views of Central Park. Besides this property, Joy has bought and sold multiple properties in New York, and hopefully she gets to live in this one longer than most of her other homes.

Kevin Costner: ~ $60 Million, California

Waterworld actor Kevin Costner may have been sick of all the water in the movie, but in reality, he loves the ocean and the mountains too, judging by the Southern California 17.25 acre property he bought for a modest sum of $28.5 million in 2006. After selling off most of the land, only 7.25 acres remained which was again put on sale for a whopping $60 million. The property itself only has a modest standalone house, although there were plans of developing it, Kevin didn’t get around to actually making anything on his plot. What remains is pristine beauty and beautiful views!

Clint Eastwood: ~ $9.7 million, Pebble Beach

Clint Eastwood is one the many famous tough guys in the movie business, but not necessarily in real life, too.  Apart from a very successful acting career, Eastwood also shines when directing movies, which turn out to be big box-office draws.

No wonder he has an enviable net worth that allowed him to buy this estate that he calls ‘Hacienda Este Madera’, meaning the Eastwood Estate.  The 6,900 sq ft home sits on 4.7 acres of land situated in the exclusive Pebble Beach area, and has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.   One of the best features of the house is its breathtaking view of the ocean.

Elon Musk: ~ $3.9 Million, Los Angeles

Elon Musk, the eccentric Tesla founder and entrepreneur, may have announced only recently that he would be “giving up all his material possessions” but he had already started disposing off his properties before that. One such property sold was this 4-bedroom LA house, which he never needed mortgage for.

The 4-bedroom house is one of the smaller properties that Musk has in his real estate portfolio. The uniquely triangular shaped home has a salt-water pool, floor-to-ceiling windows, a hot tub and multiple walk-in closets.

Jeff Bezos: ~ $165 Million, Beverly Hills

Being the wealthiest man on Earth, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos needed to buy himself and his girlfriend a home what is worthy of his stature. Leaving behind the house he used to share with his ex-wife, Jeff is said to be moving into Warner Estate, which he purchased for a staggering $165 million.

Warner Estate was originally built in the 1930s and was designed for the president of Warner Bros., Jack Warner. The 9-acre property houses a grand Georgian Revival-style 13,000 square foot home and used to have aa 9-hole golf course! Since 1990, the home belonged to business mogul David Geffen who now sold it to Jeff.

Brad Paisley: ~ $2.5 Million, Pacific Palisades, California

Award-winning country singer Brad Paisley may be a West Virginian boy at heart who now lives in Tennessee, but a decade ago, he lived in sunny California too, in this very house. He bought the property in 2004 for $1.65 million and then spent almost a million to painstakingly restore it before selling it again for $2.5 million in 2013.

The house, all 3,394 square feet of it, was built in 1925 and was in pretty bad shape but now is completely restored. The 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom property sports wood-beamed ceilings, a fireplace, stained glass windows, beautiful outdoor spaces, and a lawn with citrus trees.

Actor Nick Nolte, who we last saw in the 2019 movie, Angel Has Fallen, was once in tearing hurry to sell of his eccentric Malibu home, so much so, that he agreed to sell it at $3.9 million, although he had listed it a year ago for $8.25 million! Spread on 2-acres of land in the beautiful Bonsall Canyon area, Nolte’s craftsman-style main home features 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a 19-foot huge vaulted ceiling, multiple skylights, and two fireplaces. Outside, there is a tennis court, a pool that looks like a lagoon, a 2,400 square foot sized guest house (with 2 bedrooms) and mature pine and sycamore trees that hide the house from prying eyes.

Sam Elliott: Undisclosed Amount, Malibu

Sam Elliott has made his mark in Hollywood starring mostly in Western-themed films, and the star is known for his extraordinary voice and handlebar mustache. The actor found the love of his life in the The Graduate actress Katharine Ross and together, the couple has reached an incredible feat in Hollywood, they have been married for 34 years, which is very rare. It seems Elliott is like the Western characters he has played, because he has a property in Willamette Valley in Oregon, and his choice for their home in California is not something that oozes glitz and glamour, but it’s a lovely seaside Ranch in Malibu.
