Being a TV show host is big business in the US with these individuals earning huge amounts of money every year for the kind of TV shows they are hosting. The earnings of these TV show hosts do not just total into a few hundred thousand dollars and the figures are big enough to put to shame some of the high-earning executives of major firms.
None of the individuals we are talking about in this discussion is earning anything below 1 million. In fact, some of them have been earning in excess of $50 million every year for quite some time. Famous TV hosts like Oprah Winfrey was the highest paid TV show post for 14 years without a break pushing out other high earners like Howard Stern, Ellen DeGeneres, and Dr. Phil from the positions they held. The following are the highest paid TV show hosts in the US.
After being on top of the list of the highest paid TV show hosts in the US for 14 years without a break and earning as much as $315 million a year way back in 2010 Oprah Winfrey has been named as the Queen of all media and is presently worth $2.1 billion. Winfrey was the top paid host for radio and television shows for 14 years starting from 1999 to 2012.
Howard Stern is not recognized for his behavior on talk shows where he is often seen wielding profanities and displaying a sense of perversity but Stern managed to edge out Oprah Winfrey from the top spot with earnings of $95 million in 2013 because of the hefty contract he had with Sirius XM and the role he had as a judge on the show America’s Got Talent. Between them, Oprah Winfrey and Stern have 20 years as the highest-paid single TV show hosts.
Phil McGraw is popular as Dr. Phil on the talk show with total earnings of an estimated $88 million. He is presently leading the list of names of the highest paid TV show hosts in the US. McGraw who is presently aged 66 recorded his highest earnings because of the sizable cuts of profits he received from The Dr. Phil Show. He was previously slated at number three on the list when his earnings were in the region of $70 million.
Ellen DeGeneres follows Phil McGraw with earnings of $75 million as one of the three other women who made it to the top 10 list of highest-paid TV show hosts which also included the name though Heidi Klum for Project Runway, Robin Roberts With Good Morning America‘s And Live‘s Kelly Ripa with earnings of $19 million, $80 million and $17 million respectively.

The names of TV show hosts like chef Gordon Ramsay who is earning $400,000 for every episode of his TV show Hell’s Kitchen apart from making quite a sum of money from his 25 restaurants is not featured within the list of the highest paid TV show hosts because he is not based in the US and operates from multiple locations throughout the globe.
If you are surprised that the name of Pres. Donald Trump also features in the list it is because he was the host of the show The Apprentice & Celebrity Apprentice which produced earnings of $62 million and $63 million in addition to the millions he was making from his other businesses and even led him to comment and state he was famous and the others are not on the Forbes magazine while commenting on the billionaires on the Forbes 400 list.
