New parents have one huge task to take care of, once their child is born… they need to decide who among their family and friends would be given the much-coveted title of godparents, who would look after their children, should anything happen to them. For obvious reasons, only those folks are picked who are closest to the family, and can inspire their kids and provide guidance, when needed. That’s the simple logic behind why so many celebrity kids end up having mega stars influencing their lives.

Some of these celebs are so popular in the godparent department that they have several famous god kids and might even have lost track of who’s who! Take for instance ‘piano man’ Elton John who has 10 tots under his tutelage and actress Joan Collins has 13! While some celebs are not in touch with those kids anymore, other try to meet up ever so often, even if it is for just a slice of pizza or even a sleepover!

After all, the best part of being a godparent is not having to deal with the actual child care, or any other serious responsibility!

Macauley Culkin and Paris Jackson & Prince Michael

It was a well known fact that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, had a very special bond with Home Alone star Macauley Culkin during the ’90s and he must have trusted him a lot to name him godfather (and Cleopatra actress Elizabeth Taylor, godmother) of his two kids, daughter Paris and son, Prince.

Considering that both Culkin and Paris admitted to having issues with drug abuse in the past, we hope the actor is advising the young girl to detox, go to rehab and become sober, just like he did after many years. The pair is said to be close even today, especially since the kids need him after Michael’s passing. They even have matching tattoos, and Paris shared a photo of herself, giving Macauley a spa like pedicure and even painted his nails for him! We hope no carpet cleaners or home cleaning services were required to clean up the mess later!
