These Interesting Pawn Stars Facts Will Shock You Beyond Belief

As we all know, a pawn shop is the place to go when you no longer have money in your bank account, and you can’t get any cash advance from work. But who would have thought that a television show about the everyday dealings of a pawn shop will be this successful? That is exactly what happened with History Channel’s Pawn Stars. The show became a hit because of the unusual, rare, and extraordinary items usually sold there and of course, because of the people who stand behind the counter.  The cast of the show have been such crowd-magnets that thousands of them travel all the way to Las Vegas, just to catch a glimpse of these reality TV stars.  If you are a fan or just someone intrigued with the idea of the show, take a look at these interesting facts about Pawn Stars.

Why ‘Old Man’?

Fans of the show know that Richard Harrison has the nickname ‘Old Man’, and you didn’t need much explanation for the nickname because he was, after all, an old man when the show started filming.  Nevertheless that is not the reason why he was been nicknamed Old Man Harrison, because he has had the name since he was only 38 years old!  He probably got the nickname for being grumpy even at a young age, or because he has an old soul, or most probably because he has a passion for things that are ‘old’. That last one seems to fit the most, since he did start the Gold & Silver Pawnshop in the first place.
